Guest are guided in small groups on foot through The Elephant Sanctuary. Guides will provide an in-depth information and insight into African Elephants. You are introduces to our elephants in the forest area, where you can touch and interact with them. You can see the special relationship that the elephant handlers share with their elephants and become a part of the experience. This is followed by a short trunk-in-hand walk with the elephant. You also walk through the sleeping stables to get an insight regarding elephant husbandry and the keeping of elephants in captivity. Guests also learn about the animals' anatomy, and have the opportunity to feed them. If your lucky and it is a hot day, you may even see the elephants swimming.

(Following only included in the Deluxe Afternoon Tour only) Watch the elephants bed down for the night, enjoy sundowners and stunning sunset views from the mountain deck before returning to the lodge for a 4-course dineer around a log fire in the boma.

What to take on the tour: Wear flat walking shoes, sun hats and bring your camera! Bring a light jacket too, just in case it gets cool at night.
